Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik
Department of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Reg # PE022002, received the Ph.D. degree from MAJU Islamabad in Electronic Engineering in 2006. He has over 15 years post Ph.D. experience in teaching and research at different intuitions of good repute in Pakistan. He has more than 90 publications in various fields of engineering. Many Ph.D.s have been produced under his supervision. He is currently the Vice President of Higher Studies & Research (HS&R) and the Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan. His research interests include digital/wireless communications, array signal processing, spectrum sharing and adaptive beamforming. He is one of the senior most alumni of MAJU and has been included in our notable alumni due to his outstanding contributions to our society both as a academic leader and as a profound researcher.

Dr. Qadeer Ahmed
Department of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Qadeer, Reg # PE093006, received his M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Electronic Engineering from MAJU, Islamabad, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He is currently Associate Professor of Research with Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department and Center for Automotive Research, the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA. Dr. Qadeer is among our notable Alumni due to his impactful research in control and diagnostics of automotive systems with focus on their efficiency, safety, and security. Dr. Qadeer have established active research collaboration with Argonne National Lab (ANL), National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), Ford Motor Company, Honda, PACCAR, Freightliner, US Department of Energy, US Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). He has authored more than 100 international peer-reviewed publications and received the OSU’s Lumley Research Award in 2018 and SAE’s Buckendale Award in 2019. Dr. Qadeer was also declared as best young scientist by PSF Foundation and National Academy of Young Scientists in 2012. He is also Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics and Associate Editor for IEEE, IFAC, SAE and ASME conferences.

Dr. Nabeel Ali Khan
Department of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Nabeel Ali Khan, Reg # PE083007, received his Ph.D in Electronic Engineering from MAJU, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2010. From June 2008 to August 2012, he was a faculty member in Federal Urdu University, Islamabad and senior design engineer at Center for Advanced Research in Engineering. In 2012, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Qatar University, Doha, Qatar as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, working on automatic classification of EEG abnormalities and EEG artifact removal. Currently he is working as a Professor and Head of Department of Electrical Engineering at Foundation University, Islamabad. He is among our notable alumni due to his outstanding research contributions in the field of signal and image processing specially time frequency representations of dynamic signals.

Dr. M. Zeeshan Babar
Department of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan, Reg # MT103018 Babar did his Master's in Electronics Engineering (Control System) from MAJU in 2013. Later, he did his PhD in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from University of Genova Italy with distinction. He has served as a postdoc researcher for one years at Surrey Space Center, University of Surrey, UK and one year as a Robotic Development Engineer with Airnamics, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Currently, he is leading the flight controls and dynamics group for the next generation fighter aircraft (NGFA) at Project AZM, Avrid, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra. He is also working as a CEO of ZeeTECH Solutions, a company which provides state of the art consultancy in the field of robotics manipulators.

Engr. Ans Farooq
Department of Mechanical Engineering

Engr. Ans Farooq, Reg # MME131007, did his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Capital University of Science and Technology in 2016. Currently he is working as Chief Executive Officer at Solaris Engineering (SMC-PVT) Limited. He has also served as Health and Safety Engineer at Bestway Cement Limited. He is strong business development professional and established more than 5 Solaris Engineering franchises in different cities of Pakistan. His company provides services in Renewable Energy specializing in Solar Water Pumping and Commercial Solar Systems. It has setup a fabrication unit for fabrication of solar mounting structures, cable trays, distribution boxes, street light pole and offers the PV market a wide range of solar solutions structure. He is one of our notable alumni due to his notable services in electrical and energy sectors.

Engr. Umer Farooq Ahmed
Department of Electrical Engineering

Engr. Umer Farooq Ahmed, Reg # MEE173028, did his Masters in Electrical Engineering from the CUST in 2018. He is one of our notable alumni due to his outstanding research contributions in the field of Solid-State Electronics, Microelectronics and Controls Engineering, as he published 10 international journal articles during his Master’s thesis at CUST. Due to this achievement and outstanding academic performance, he was also awarded Gold Medal in his MS studies. He is currently pursuing his PhD in the field of Microelectronics Engineering design from the University of Cambridge, UK under Commonwealth scholarship.

Dr. Mohsin Raza
Department of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Mohsin Raza, completed his BS (Reg # EE063119) and MS (Reg # MT111005) both in Electronic Engineering from MAJU Islamabad, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Dr. Mohsin is currently serving as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, Edge Hill University, UK. Prior to this, he worked as Lecturer (2019-20) at Northumbria University, UK. He is among our notable alumni due to his outstanding research contributions in the field of wireless communications. He served as a technical committee member in a number of International Conferences including ICET 2012, SKIMA 2015, SKIMA 2017, WSGT 2017, CSNDSP 2018, SKIMA 2018, ICT 2019 and CSoNet 2019. He has also been a guest editor in International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks and reviewer of several journals including IEEE Access, IEEE Comm. Letters, MDPI Sensors, Elsevier Vehicular Comms. and Springer AJSE.

Engr. Zohaib Azhar
Department of Electrical Engineering

Engr. Zohaib Azhar, Reg # EE093047, did his BS in Electronic Engineering from MAJU, Islamabad in 2013. Later, he did his MBA from Swiss Business School and completed his MSc FM from Heriot Watt University, UAE. He has worked as a Facility Manager in Deyaar Community Management and as Team Lead with Khidmah Facilities Management. He is currently Head of Operations at Farnek Services LLC, UAE and managing 5 divisions with overall manpower of 500. He has obtained a number of awards in his professional career including Facilities Management Middle East Award, Managerial Excellence Award 2020, Young Facilities Manager of the Year 2020. He has done numerous international certifications like IOSH, BICS, RICS, Air System Cleaning, ISO 41001- 2018. He is among our notable alumni due to his outstanding industrial management qualities which are recognized in international forums.

Engr. Rasikh Tariq
Department of Mechanical Engineering

Engr. Rasikh Tariq, Reg # ME113006, received his B.S. Mechanical Engineering degree from MAJU, Islamabad in 2015. Later, he did his Masters from Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, Mexico in 2020 and currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Renewable Energy. He has published a number of international journal articles with a cumulative impact factor of more than 65. He has also published 12 conference articles and co-authored a book chapter on fundamental developments in the zeolite process in Interface Science and Technology. He is among our notable alumni due to his outstanding research contributions in the field of renewable energy specifically solar power generation and desalination.

Engr. Asfandyar Khalid
Department of Electrical Engineering

Engr. Asfandyar Khalid, Reg # EE123058, did his BS in Electronic Engineering from CUST in 2016. Later he did his Masters in IT engineering with First Class Honors from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He is a multitalented individual as he has worked as a visiting faculty at University of Mannheim, Germany. As an entrepreneur he founded his own company; Freelance IT Consultant Company (Eonsystech, Essen Germany). As an active researcher he has 3 international journal publications. Moreover, he is currently working as Flow Engineer at Amazon USA. He has also worked as information security specialist at Hyundai Capital Bank Europe. He is included in out notable alumni due to his multitalented nature and his multidisciplinary achievements at international level.

Engr. Arhaam Mubarak

Engr. Arhaam Mubarak, Reg # BME153022, did his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Capital University of Science and Technology in 2019. Currently he is working as Chief Executive Officer at Quantum Mechanics (Pvt) Ltd. Islamabad. His company provides services in LPG Solutions, Solar Solutions, Medical Supplies, Designing, Fabrication, Training, and Consultancy including Energy Management Solutions. Previously, he worked as Design Engineer at Safeway Renewable Energy (Pvt) Ltd. Islamabad. He also worked as a Design Engineer at Quantum Energy an Islamabad based Solar Company. Engr. Osama Rashid
Department of Civil Engineering

Engr. Osama Rashid, BCE143028, did his BS in Civil Engineering from CUST in 2018. Later he studied at University of Nicosia, Cyprus during his bachelors as an exchange student under the umbrella of European Erasmus Mundus program. Engr. Osama Rashid served as Project Engineer in J7 Group in Islamabad. Currently, He is doing Masters in Megastructures with Sustainable Resources at University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg, focused on Modern Construction Management & Building Information Modeling. During his Master studies, he too served at a renowned British Financial Institution M&G Investments in Luxembourg. In September 2021, he will be joining Vodafone Procurement Company in Luxembourg.
